We received an email from our Blackbaud business solutions provider
earlier this week stating that effective January 1, 2006, Blackbaud
will no longer sell their software through independent dealers.  As a
smaller science center, our independent dealer has been instrumental in
helping us to establish an effective Blackbaud system, including both
the Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.  In our experience, Blackbaud has
been difficult to deal with without the assistance of our
representative.  Anyone with comments as to how this change will effect
business practices or with advice on dealing directly with Blackbaud,
your comments are appreciated.
