Jason,
You saw the Albert Einstein sculpture in ASTC Dimensions, the March/April
2003 Science Parks issue, in a photo accompanying Stephen Pizzey's article
"Outdoor Exhibits: Thinking Outside the Fence." The sculpture was created by
Ian Walters and can be seen at the Observatory Science Centre's Discovery
Park (founded by Pizzey) in Herstmonceux, East Sussex, U.K.
For more information, you could contact Stephen Pizzey through
www.science-projects.org.

Somewhere out there I saw a sculpture once...outside, in front of a
science center somewhere...from all angles, as I recall, this sculpture
appeared as an abstract, chaotic mess of blocky shapes and empty
spaces, packed into the shape of a sphere--from all angles but one. If
viewed from one particular perspective, the sculpture revealed itself
to be the image of Albert Einstein.
As clever as it is difficult to describe.
I want a tabletop version of one of these for a simple exhibit about
light and shadow. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and know who
might be responsible for the creation of such a wonderful object?
Thank you!
