environments from a nocturnal forest in the Smoky Mountains to the
darkest depths of the ocean. We'll leave a light off for you.

Has anyone tested the effectiveness of written exhibition
guides? I am certain many of you have developed guides for exhibitions.
Are they used? Do they reach your goals? I am considering developing a
take-home guide (print) for parents to do with their children (or
teachers with their students) to expand awareness or suggest activities
beyond the exhibition.

We developed a set of home activities based upon our
biochemistry discovery lab. These are activities that were adapted for
home use based upon ease and safety but are more directed and less open
ended than a family guide to an exhibition on extremophiles
(microbes) or the search for life in the universe or evolution. Am I
trying to re-invent the wheel?
