I agree, because as I have found with my own children and my students, with 
most people you really can't just tell them anything and expect them to believe 
it.  Especially once they reach a certain age (I deal with grade 8 and up).  
Especially in this country.  Learning the nature of scientific investigation 
will do more to improve the lives and general thought processes of all 
students.  It is true that informal science education centers will play a vital role - 
keep up the good fight!  I wish I could have afforded to keep my position as 
eduction coordinator!                     Janine
