Hello all,
I would like to hear from those of you who work with graduate
students. I am sure that many of you work with them as presenters.
I'm not talking about your regular floor folk, I mean students you
bring in for special presentations. I have found that some assume
that because they may teach in a university classroom they have the
necessary presentation skills (and as we know, the required styles
are radically different!). Still others freeze in front of the
general public. I wind up spending quite a bit of one-on-one time
with folks explaining who the audience is, some of the best ways to
approach the public, etc. My question is: do you have a method of
working with them to smooth out their presentation skills? Something
a little more effective?
Thanks,
Beryl
