Sarah,
You might want to contact Pat Richards at UW-Milwaukee at
[log in to unmask] She excavated portions of a pauper's cemetary from the
Milwaukee County homw back in the early 1990s. She can also probably
point you toward reports on similar excavations in the Chicago area.
Good Luck!

Subject: institutionalized cemetery query

Hi All,

I'm looking for cemetery reports of institutionalized populations to
compare with nail and button data recovered from an early to mid
nineteenth century insane asylum. Anyone know of any?

Thanks!

Sarah
