ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

We are interested in putting together a session that focuses on the role of
small science museums in the overall science museums community. As a new
small museum in a relatively rural area, we are interested in the long term
significance of smaller museums that often serve broad geographic regions.

We are interested in exploring the following issues:

1.	Do small science museums play a different role in informal science
education than their larger, urban counter parts?
2.	What advantages do small museums bring to the table that the larger
community can learn from?
3.	Is the move toward smaller museums offered in more communities a
sustainable trend? Are there limits to the number of small science museums
that can be supported? Are there advantages to an increased number of
science museums?

Please let me know if this topic is of interest to you, what other aspects
might be covered, and if you are interested in participating.
