Hi Alissa,
Some of favorite DIY floor activities involve mirrors.
Obvious ones like acrylic mirrors and symmetry done with shapes,
cubes, and attribute blocks.
Less obvious ones like anamorphic images using a cylindrical mirror
(cheap trick: use a mounted chrome plumbing tube.)
Finally, a basket of kaleidoscopes and taleidoscopes (purchased or
home-made using PVC tubing) are always fun.
Each volume of ASTC's "Cheapbook" series lists some simple mirror
exhibits including "Mirror Wells" and the "Expandable Birthday
Cake." <http://www.astc.org/pubs/browse_publications.htm#exhibits>
Have fun!
