ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I suspect that whatever terms you use are destined to mean different
things to different people/institutions. As any number of listserv
threads debating things like "education", "learning", "teaching", etc
will show.
As Hobbes* once said: "Perhaps we can make language a complete
impediment to understanding."

Victoria,
I think that most us in the science centre field have the same problem
of
ambiguity in the use of the term "educational programming". People
often
refer to an "exhibit programme" - and our exhibits (we hope) are
educational.
How about "live educational programming?" Assuming, that is, that the
educational programmes you are referring to are indeed live.
Good luck!
Peter Anderson
