> Qualitative methods play a critical role in providing descriptive information that brings forth in-depth understandings and specific attention to context. As part of a series of professional development events, this presentation is designed to enhance the > "> methodological toolbox> "> of evaluators through dialogue that will offer meaningful and practical approaches to qualitative inquiry.
>
> Since 1975 Dr. Stake has been director of the Center for Instructional Research and Curriculum Evaluation (CIRCE). Once a specialist in psychometrics and instructional research, my present orientation is naturalistic or ethnographic field study. Stake has authored Quieting Reform, a book on Charles Murray's evaluation of Cities-in -Schools; and three books on methodology, Evaluating the Arts in Education, The Art of Case Study Research; and Standards-Based and Responsive Evaluation.
