Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" is a layman's read
of...well, the history of everything. Everything in science, anyway. It's
very readable and typical of Bryson's humor. I'm about 3/4 through it now
(so, I'm up to Darwin....)

What Bill Bryson book do you refer to below? I love Bryson but I wasn't
aware of a book he did on science.
