I sent this out to a number of friends and realized maybe it might be
interest to museums that might want to present neuroscience concepts about the
mind. For that purpose, the book cited below is the point of interest. The
material at the URL is to perk your interest. The book is about $15.00 on Amazon
and was published very recently. A big bonus of the book is the many links on
the web to its references. The authors provide a page of links on their web site
to make it easier on the reader who wants to hack into his or her mind. The use
of hack here is like that in computer hacking. That is, to discover something.

Whoa! Wait a minute! Good grief. We are working at the frontiers of science
here. Could this be? See the article at
<http://nivea.psycho.univ-paris5.fr/ASSChtml/ASSC.html>. I found this reference
in a very interesting book I'm reading, "Brain Hacks" by Stafford and Webb. It's
about the human sensory system. It's a relief to discover that my visual images
aren't piling up as jpg images in my head. I've been feeling a little top heavy
lately.
If you try the demos, you may have to play a little with what's happening
sometimes to see what the change really is. For example, the "slow change" demo
is quite good. You probably won't notice the change at all, but, when you rewind
the animation and start again, you'll see immediately what changed.
The article is a transcription that was placed on the web from a talk.
