Hello All,
We like to think that we make a positive impact on people's lives,
helping them understand a little better how our world works. We seem to
struggle with how to do a better job of that, everyday. Now, there has
been a terrible calamity in our world. Our hearts our sickened by the
pain and anguish of our brothers and sisters.
We, a small, (almost) for-profit company, is going to take a shot at
actually making a positive impact on people's lives. We are making a
small donation ($100) to one of the agencies listed on the USAid web
site. We would like to suggest that other for-profit organizations also
do what they can. In addition, I think there are nearly 700 individuals
signed up on this list, maybe more. You can imagine the impact we would
have if everyone donated just $10 each. My son will donate some of his
Christmas money from Grandma. C'mon, you're not going to be outdone by a
10 year old, are you?
Excuse me for bringing this up on the list. But I am just struck by the
worries of our ant colonies, and our board development issues and what
to call our docent programs and yet we have made scant mention of this
huge event that has destroyed some many lives. Do what you can. Help
change a life.
Sincerely and apologetically
Joe Ruggiero
