I have MDG 341 1121(77 minutes) and like you would recommend this c.d.
It has 2 Sinfonia's, 2 Overtures and a Concerto. Christoph Graupner
(1683-1760) was a German composer who until recently was almost completely
ignored. The rhythms in the two Sinfonia's are close to being like those
of Jan Zelenka. The concerto and the two overtures are not as adventurous
as the Sinfonia's. The performing group, Nova Stravaganza, play on
period instruments and the recording is excellent.
