This does surprise me.  I would think that most concert-goers would want
greater time-period variety during a concert season.  For myself, I would
want greater variety for one concert, something like: Pinnock and his band
for a Brandenberg Concerto, Uchida for a Mozart piano sonata, Bylsma/Bilson
for a Beethoven violin sonata, Conlon doing some Zemlinsky, Hamelin playing
Medtner, and Ursula Oppens doing some Cage.  I'd pay whatever the price was
to see this concert.
