Hi,
thanks for the tips. I should have put a little more emphasis on the need for 
the evaluation  side. That's an important concern. None of the sources I listed 
have much in the way of comparative review. I'm somewhat aware of prices below 
$1000, in particular the InFocus X2. My difficulty has been trying to sort out 
DLP from LCD, XVGA vs SVGA, ratio of this to that, and all the other features 
these devices possess. I tooks a big step towards that by Googling on "advice" 
rather than "review" when using "multimedia projectors". Here's a site that is 
pretty fair on advice

it's for educators and even has a 800 help #. I also found a very good price for 
the X2, and am mulling it over.
