If you want stereo then the Italians (1960s Philips) and the Lindsays
(1070s ASV) are both very fine, especially the Italians' Op.132 (I'm
going to hear the Lafayette SQ play this on Saturday, yum-yum).
I'm still waiting to find the Hollywood SQ's late Beethoven, but they'll
have to go some to surpass the Busch Quartet, whose Opp.131 and 132 are
simply fabulous. (Unless you're Mimi).
