Yes!
There is a 2CD set of the complete Symphonies [1-4] of Friedrich Gernsheim
(1839-1916). These works remind a little of Brahms. I never heard of this
composer before I bought these disks, but I would like to find out more
about him. Is anyone familiar with his works?
Siegfried Koehler conducts the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the
catalogue no. is 74321 63635 2.

[This post is bound to make several list members (including me)
spontantouesly salivate. However, I can't seem to find reference to
this CD anywhere, including BMG's Arte Nova web site which supposedly
has a complete discography. Here's to hoping Kai is right though....
