I've liked, among others, Szell, Walter, and especially Peter Ronnefeld, an
Austrian who died young. I think Solti, Giulini, and Karajan (a conductor
I often have no use for) have done wonderful Mozart opera recordings. As
to who is best or even best, generally considered, I can't tell you.
