I am quite sure that Steven is right. In my experience, most overdubbings
so not work all that well. Winton Marsalis has done it fairly well (3 and
even 8 trumpets (Biber)!). But the most effective overdubbing I think I
have ever heard is Ute Lemper in her Berlin Cabaret songs where she sings
'Die beste Freundin' which is really a dialogue between two singers. It is
hard to believe that the two voices were recorded at different times! The
interaction seems so immediate, spontaneous and natural Has anyone else
heard this very interesting CD?
