Re: Not having time to listen to acquisitions.  I have collected opera
and post-romantic music (Strauss, Pfitzner, Zemlinsky, Szymanovski et al)
with a passion since 1954, when I was in junior high school.  When other
kids were buying skates, bicycles, going to movies, entertainment centers
- I was buying records.  As time passed, and the piles grew into stacks, I
kept telling myself that someday I would listen to all of them.  Some day
when I was too old to do anything except sit around and listen.  Well, now
I am getting up there close to 60 - I'm still shovelling them in.  There's
not a room in my house that doesn't have recordings: LPs, 78s, CDs, etc.
I still have very little time to listen, but I manage to hear one out of
ten.
