Surely these statistics refer to all CDs, and since the overwhelming number
of CDs sold are pop, I'm not at all surprised by the 1.8 times figure. But
classical CDs must get much more use than that.

I am somewhat surprised by the 94% figure, but again the fact that most CDs
are pop may account for it.
