ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I've been using sketch up for a while for fast exhibit renderings. I've
also used, Alias, 3d Studio Max, Rhino, and AutoCAD. Sketch up is by far
the simplest and fastest out of the group for quick
visualizing. Currently, here at Museum of the Earth in Ithaca NY, I'm
running one seat of the edu version (As it is available for
non-profits). Though it is true that it is not a detailed modeler, I find
it a great tool for day to day designs and space layout, without being too
hardware intensive.
