I am not positive if this was the group where a number of scales were
discussed.  The discussion included harmonic major scales, etc.  I have
a couple of questions.  One is about the scale used in the theme song of
"Fiddler on the Roof".  A colleague of mine says it is frequent in Jewish
and Eastern Euopean music.

Also, would it appropriate to describe the scale used in Flamenco as mostly
in the Phrygian mode but sometimes 'modulating' to the corresponding Ionian
mode or major scale?

I would be interesdted in your views.
