Sorry if this seems like bragging but I know you'll appreciate why I am
so pleased - I've just had a letter published in the latest Gramophone!

I queried how Nelson Friere claimed he could sit backstage in the Gwendhaus
where Clara Schumann and others sat when the Old Gwendhaus was destroyed
in WWII.  I also pointed out the OG's famous accoustics do survive in
the most unlikliest of places: the auditorium of Auckland, NZ's Old Town
Hall is a direct copy.
