Your review of my 1st Piano Concerto was forwarded to me.  I read it
with great pleasure and was delighted with your assessment of it.

Indeed, it is an early work (though it seems like yesterday) but I have
a very special feeling for it.  As you suggest, it would be very nice
to have another concert performance of it, but these days most conductors
and soloists seem to favor desert in preference to steak.
