Whatever the reason, things can only be better without him.  He and the
NACO visited Victoria about 2 years ago and turned in one of the worst
Beethoven 7s I've ever heard.

Superbly played, but PZ's tempos were all over the place and the homogenised
textures he obviously wanted - and, alas, got - were simply not Beethoven.

Perhaps the NACO could replace him with a conductor.
