Over a year ago my local Virgin Megastore flogged hundreds of classical
CDs and box sets for 3.99 each, no matter what they were. I bought 500
worth and made about 400 selling more than half on the internet. I still
have a number left unopened which I will DEFINITELY listen to one day,
including a DG box set of Bernstein conducting American works, Jacobs
conductign Saul, von Otter singing Hercules and Handley's Bax cycle on
Chandos. Yes, both were 3.99 (!!). I still count that sale as the most
amazing sale I've seen in alomst 20 years of collecting.
