one of my books was published about a month ago; it is a collection of
papers presented at sessions on excavation methods at the European
Association of Archaeologists (EAA) conferences in 1999 and 2000, and for a
planned session in 2001; also a stratigraphy session at the UISPP conference
in Liege in 2001 -

overall, the book documents some of the diversity to be found in excavation
methods, their relation to documentation styles/technologies and soil
sciences, the Harris matrix, how such diversity effects attempts at building
databases or doing comparative research, etc.
