Ah, you need to look at the first movement bpm (beats per minute).
Coates is, as I suspected, the *shortest* first movement, but he omits
the repeat.
Scherchen is the *fastest*, his first mvt bpm figure is 174.53 as
opposed to the 170.93 of Coates.

Why collect the Eroica? Why perform it at wildly varying tempos?
