This Thuille Sextet is a long favorite of mine as well; I have the
recordings by Conchord (on the Quartz label) and the Lieurance Woodwind
Quintet (Summit label), both of which I enjoy very much. Better still
was the performance I heard "live" about a month ago (from the 5th row,
center orchestra) in a New York Philharmonic Ensembles concert. I see
that the Davies/Stuttgart is on a o/p MD&G disc. Do you have any ideas
where I might get a copy of it?
