Hi all;

Here at the MacMillan Space Centre, we have a 30 seat SimEX Virtual
Voyages Motion Simulator Ride. And like all high cost, technology
items, there's good and bad.

On one hand, it cost an arm and a leg to purchase and install and it
does keep our technical staff busy most of the time. Parts and films
are also expensive and it's questionable if having the ride as part of
the overall experience at the Centre has increased our number of
visitors.

On the other hand, everyone who rides the ride loves it; there's no
doubt there! It's roughly a ten minute long experience with a preshow
component followed by the ride itself. It's great fun to be able to add
to bookings packages for school groups, birthday parties, overnight
programs, etc. It only requires one or 2 staff members to run it at a
time (depending on how busy it is) and training to operate the ride is
not too difficult. Our regular exhibit/floor staff run it with ease.

If you'd like more details, feel free to contact me off-list
