ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I am a graduate student soon to complete a phd program in neuroscience. I really

enjoy doing public/outreach education and although my current plan is still to

stick with academic research and continue to do some education volunteer work on

the side, there is the thought that someday (sooner or later) I may decide that

I'd rather work in a science museum than run a research lab. With that in mind

I'm curious if anyone out here on the list has a science (not education or museum

studies) PhD or if anyone's institution hires science PhDs. Are there places for

scientists at science museums/informal education settings? Are there any

positions that people with science PhDs are actually sought for? Just checking

out my options.

Thanks for the info.
