Hello everyone,

Just a reminder, the 2006 MAC Conference is being held In Urbana,
Illinois, from October 12-15. To accommodate people just returning
from fieldwork, we have decided to extend the deadline for abstracts
to September 4, 2006. All submissions must be RECEIVED by this date
(through SPORG or via regular mail) to be considered for the
conference.

You can obtain additional information, register yourself and your
guests, obtain banquet reservations and submit your paper and
symposia proposals online at http://www.midwestarchaeology.org/. You
can also obtain paper copies of all the forms from the above web site.

Looking forward to seeing you all in October!

"There is also an artificial aristocracy founded on wealth and birth,
without either virtue or talents ... The artificial aristocracy is a
mischievous ingredient in government, and provisions should be made to
prevent its ascendancy."
