Much more likely to have been painted by Dominic A. Staskiews, born 1908 in
Poland and died in Elyria, Ohio, in 1990. Or possibly his son Dominic,
still living in Elyria, 300 Washington Ave Elyria, OH 44035-5166. Not to
mention the obvious clues you mention. Certainly not 19th C. And I notice
that the painting is being sold from Celina, Ohio, a distance but not that
far from Elyria in terms of estate sales.
