Unless it was Liszt's Sonata on radio - in the 80s I believe.

Like the old and almost blind Rubinstein playing for the last time his
famous war horses - for tv.

There is Tschaikowsky's 2nd - the best ever IMO.

His recording of Liszt's Etudes Transcendentes? His Franck? And his ...?

I have no idea.  He also seems to have made an excellent recording of
Tchaikowky's 2nd.
