I am pleased to announce that archaeological and contextual data from
Monticello's Sites 7 and 8 are now available on the DAACS website
(www.daacs.org). These sites, known as the Home Farm Quarter, are
located on the ridge of Monticello Mountain as it descends east toward
the Rivanna River. Excavations at these sites have been ongoing since
1997 and the data presented on DAACS includes all artifacts excavated
during the 2006 field season.

Data from 19 excavated slave quarters located throughout the greater
Chesapeake region are now available online. Included are sites from
Monticello, Poplar Forest, Mount Vernon, Stratford Hall, and the
Williamsburg area. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any
questions about accessing information in DAACS.
