It's quite a ways from Evan's part of New Jersey, but last September a
few of us outreach folks ran a local version of Outreach Live (a
long-time session at the ASTC conference) in Massachusetts, and we're
hoping for a repeat next fall.

I cannot stress enough that nearly without exception one cannot randomly
combine a collection of circuitry and power supplies into an object and
"accidentally discover" that it is a fully functioning death ray. I
speak here from bitter experience.

Hi Evan,
I just rotated off the board of NAME (National Association for Museum
Exhibition) and we've just started having NY Metro area gatherings
for museum folks, designers, etc. as an opportunity for networking
locally.
The plan is to try and have them quarterly in conjunction with a new
exhibit opening. Our first was at NY Hall of Science and the next
one will be at the Bronx Zoo.
If you'd like I'd be happy to add your name to the e-vite list.
