ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
Kua,
In Britain, several science centres were started up for the Millennium
year.
Of these, The Big Idea in Irvine, Scotland and the Earth Centre near
Doncaster
in England have closed. The first was about invention and the second about
the interplay of human settlement and ecology. Both had something really
good to offer.
The Big Idea was defeated by its location, and The Earth Centre by not
being
taken to an adequate degree of completion.
Regards, Peter Anderson
