Unless I am misreading the proposed amendment, the two editors are not
being removed from the board. They would still enjoy status as officers
(under Article III) of the society and as voting members of the board, but
they would not be part of the proposed Executirve Committee, which would be
empowered to act on urgent matters between regular meetings of the full
board. I'm not certain whether that is prudent or even necessary, having
not heard the arguments for or against the proposal, but I do know that
there are exisiting means for the full board to address matters of
importance between their regular meetings (e.g., email votes and conference
calls).

mistake as
many of us do, you must vote against ALL of the changes to the By Laws.
