A new journal from AltaMira Press

Collections: A Journal for Museum and Archives Professionals
Edited by Hugh Genoways of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Collections: A Journal for Museum and Archives Professionals is a new,
multi-disciplinary journal for all aspects of handling, preserving,
researching, and organizing collections. Edited by Hugh Genoways of the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Collections will be both academic and
practical. Practitioners will be able to turn to the journal for the
most up-to-date research in collections management. In its pages, they
will find both professional guidance and theoretical grounding, drawn
from fields such as life science, art history, archaeology,
anthropology, history, conservation, law, museum studies, and library
science.

Two issues of Collections will appear in 2004. In subsequent years,
issues will appear quarterly, in February, May, August, and November. We
are currently accepting submissions for the 2004 volume.

Publication cycle: Feb / May / Aug / Nov
Pages per volume: max. 384, approx. 96 pages per issue
Begins: Volume 1, Number 1, August 2004
