Dear colleagues, I am putting together a panel & workshop for the Association of Science and Technology Centres 2005 conference titled "The High-Tech Tools of Citizen Science". In piloting citizen science programs at the Ontario Science Centre, we have found that "gadgets" such as pedometers, PDA's, cell phones, and wireless sensors are an attractive interface for our visitors.
I am looking to connect with others who have conducted citizen science-type programs using every day gadgets as research tools, and discuss the potential for these types of activities with science centre and museum audiences. Please contact me at [log in to unmask]
