Alissa,

To make bubble films, surface tension must be reduced so the water can more
easily "stretch".
Chemicals, like soap, that are able to do this effectively, are called
surface active agents, or
surfactants. They are said to make water "wetter."

So a good bubble solution should contain "surfactants."

But "bubbleocity" seems like a more kid-friendly synonym! ;-)

Here's a fun and silly question that came up at our morning staff meeting
today. Is there a word that describes a solution's ability to make bubbles?
We decided that the word is "bubbleocity" but are wondering if there's a
real word.
