Hi Charity - Here is a different, but interesting, angle to consider...
chain mail dive suits used for protection against shark bites.
Obviously, these suits are heavy but also very durable and able to
withstand visitor use. They're expensive; however a child-size one or a
partial suit would be more affordable. One company that makes them
(well, they did when I bought some pieces for a program about sharks
here at Nauticus, The National Maritime Center in 1999) is Whiting and
Davis at 508-699-4412.

Does anyone currently use underwater diving costumes for dress up
activities in exhibits?
We are trying to locate a good source for durable diving masks that
don't break easily and still meet health standards. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Charity
