Hey, Charlie. I've been using audio and sequencing programs for a long
time (sequencer + on DOS..). I would say that Sonic Foundry Acid is
the most intuitive of all of them, but now that it is SONY, who knows.
For two track audio on a Mac, I like amadeus, a shareware program that
has some great real-time visualizations FFT's over time and other cool
displays. Our education staff has been running some audio workshops, I
keep on thinking we should get more deeply into it and do some long
term workshops on audio production, but we haven't quite gotten there
yet. I would be very interested in exchanging ideas about this. I can
put you in touch with the educator who has been doing this on our
staff, if you contact me offlist.
have a good weekend.
