Melissa,
In 1987 a company called RAM excavated a roundhouse in Lakehurst New Jersey.
The company has since been renamed CRCG. Richard Veit has a section on this
in his book Digging New Jersey's Past:Historical Archaeology in the Garden
State 2002 pages 128-134.

railroad roundhouses or repair shops. My prefered area of interest is
late 19th to 20th century North Aemrican, but information from other
areas/periods would also be of appreciated. You are welcome to reply
either on or off list. thanks in advanse for any help, leads, or
