Historical Archaeologists in particular should embrace this film as an 
opportunity.

At a minimum, it is a common point of contact with our publics. On the 
other end of the spectrum, Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, Pirates of the 
Caribbean) is doing Public Archaeology outreach and we should be paying 
attention --and be grateful.

Don't forget what Bruckheimer did for criminal forensics with CSI: 
scientists are cool (Grisom is a sex symbol!), Education has directly 
tracked its increased science class enrollments back to CSI's impact, the 
legal profession is reporting that jury's now expect more because of CSI..
