Margan:
I would love to contribute. I have done a lot of archaeology in Skagway, but also considerable history work. I have written a book about the prostitutes and reform effort in Skagway, with mention of some peripheral archaeology that we did there. I would enjoy doing a paper on that subject.
Are you interested?

Subject: Alaska Journal of Anthropology
Sorry if this seems "spammy" to folks... This is maybe the easiest way to get
in touch with interested folks.
It was suggested to me to get together a historical archaeology volume for
the Alaska Journal. A certain individual who shall remain nameless suggested
that I organize such an effort.
I think maybe it could extend into Yukon, British Columbia, Nunavut,
Kamchatka? And include ethno-historical efforts, Gold Rush, Russian-American,
Underwater, World War II, Cold War, and so on.
Anybody willing to participate? Maybe organize a special session at the 2007
Alaska Anthro Association meeting in Fairbanks that correlates to the volume?
I have a list in my head. I'll start naming names if I have to!
