Administrator of Education needed for the Jefferson Patterson Park and
Museum, a state museum of archaeology and history in Calvert County,
Maryland.  Full-time state position with benefits.  

Enthusiastic and energetic museum educator needed to develop, implement,
and evaluate public educational programming, including school programs,
outreach programs, summer programs for teachers and special events.
Oversees operation of Visitor Center museum, advertising and publicity
of public programs and rental of park pavilion.  Responsibilities
include recruitment, training and supervision of education program and
visitor services staff; development of educational and exhibition
materials; budget preparation; grant writing and other fundraising
activities.  Participate in long-range planning for expansion of museum
facilities, exhibits and public programming over the next five years.
MA in anthropology, history, museum studies, education or related field
preferred.  Three years experience in management required.  Experience
in staff supervision, budget management and program evaluation required.
Teaching experience also required.  Candidates should have excellent
written and oral communication skills.  Knowledge of computer-based word
processing, spreadsheet and databases desirable.  Yearly salary
$38,578.
