Dear Mavens of Historic Artifacts,
I'm trying to help a colleague identify and date an artifact from a late-19th/early-20th century homestead site. It is a cast iron face plate from a wood stove. The imprint is a Phoenix rising from the flames (appropriate), and it bears the name Wonder ____(broken and missing) Stoveworks. Can anyone tell us anything about the manufacture, dates, etc., or a reference or website where he can look?
Mil gracias,
Jeff
